Trafalgar students have the opportunity to participate in the internationally recognized Duke of Edinburgh Awards Program. Students must be at least 14 years old to register for the program and may continue their participation until age 25. Since we instituted this voluntary program here in 2004, many girls have achieved their Bronze and Silver levels while still at Trafalgar. Kimberley Fortin, Class of 2008, recently became the first Traf grad to earn her Gold level designation while still in high school. Bronze Medals are presented each June at the school during our School Closing and Graduation Ceremonies. The Lieutenant Governor of Quebec awards the Silver Medals in November. [Gold Medal winners receive their awards from a member of the Royal Family at a special reception each year. ] Current Traf students who received their Silver Medals at the November 2008 ceremonies are pictured below.
