Traf's First Annual Mother & Daughter BBQ was held Thursday, September 24, 2009. The event coincided with the annual Girls for the Cure Walk
that took place earlier that day. Many mothers joined the students who walked to Mount Royal to hear inspirational speeches and see the presentation of the cheque to the St Mary's Hospital Foundation. They returned to the school for the party in the garden and were welcomed by Traf dads (and grand-dads) who volunteered to flip burgers and serve the ladies in their lives. The garden was a sea of pink t-shirts and accessories as moms and daughters enjoyed an afternoon under the warm autumn sun. Members of Traf's GFTC organizing committee worked with Sharon Cozens, Director of Advancement, to see that no detail was missed. Moms and daughters were pampered at manicure stations, and everyone was treated to pink cotton candy. Click here for photos of the day.
