Trafalgar-Ross Foundation
The Trafalgar Ross Foundation of Trafalgar School for Girls was established in 1992 to foster and assist in the operation of the School, helping it to attain the highest possible standards concerning programs, facilities, and students. This goal is accomplished by funding new or established bursaries, scholarships and specific grants. The monies used to do this come from gifts, bequests, and investment income that are gathered for the purposes outlined above. The Trustees of the Foundation are custodians of the funds, and in certain instances, are active fundraisers for endowment.
As school fees increase, the importance of need-based financial support for deserving students also increases. To maintain the diverse mix of students at Trafalgar, a strong asset of the school, the importance of strong endowment funding has never been greater.
The Trafalgar Ross Foundation Investment Policy was created in 2010. A similar Investment Policy adopted by the Board of Governors of Trafalgar School ensures a seamless agreement between the two governing groups of the school in overseeing monies entrusted to the School.
Our trustees and members make sure that the funds we have are invested wisely, that bursary funding is distributed accurately, and that our plans for raising new funds are sound.
