Girls’ Schools Association Awards Prize to Traf Teacher

On March 26th the National Coalition of Girls’ School (NCGS) announced that they would be awarding their annual H. William Christ Educator Prize to Trafalgar’s  Science Department Head and STEM Coordinator, Christianne Loupelle.
After a committee thoroughly reviews all nominations, the NCGS presents this award to “a man or woman who has demonstrated their commitment to extraordinary teaching, program design, and/or curricular innovation in a member school.”

NCGS representatives will present Ms. Loupelle with her award at their annual conference in June, where she will be joining Professor Limin Jao from McGill University’s Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) and Professor Dawn Wiseman from Bishop’s University to present a paper about Traf’s inquiry-based learning project on Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women and Girls.

Head of School Katherine Nikidis says, “I am so proud of Christianne, and all the innovative work she and our colleagues at Trafalgar are doing!”
