New moments were enjoyed and memories made at Trafalgar's Annual Spring Fundraising Event
on May 18, 2023. The event brought together 230 members of the Traf Community, including current and past parents, students and alumnae, current and past staff, families and friends, and donors and supporters. Attendees took a look into Trafalgar's rich history through a photo and uniform display, as well as images of the evolution of the school building over time - most fitting as we look ahead to Traf's exciting future and upcoming move to McGill Campus
Through tickets, silent and live auctions, and raffle, the event raised close to $40,000, all going directly to Trafalgar's bursary and scholarship programs, continuing to increase access to a Traf education. However, all told, including donations of food, drink, decor items, and auction & raffle prizes, the event represented close to $70,000 in donations to Trafalgar!
An incredible team of dedicated volunteers and supporters made the evening the huge success that it was. Thanks to Hurley's Irish Pub, Dunn's Famous Smoked Meat, Daboom Desserts, and Melrose Pizza for providing delicious food and drink throughout the evening. And, thank you to Modern Event Furniture and Maison Prunelle for providing the show stopping bar and auction table display!
Back by popular demand, Shinebox provided the music for the night, playing everyone's favourite songs from the 90s and 2000s. The evening was Emceed by Traf dad Mathew Wood, who far surpassed the call to host by including his hilarious antics, costume changes, and excellent auctioneering skills!
