Every student deserves the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. At Trafalgar, our Student Services team is here to ensure that no student navigates their journey alone. We provide personalized guidance tailored to each learner’s strengths, goals, and challenges, offering the right tools and encouragement at every stage of their education.
Our work focuses on three key areas:
Admissions Guidance – Helping families and students transition smoothly into our community.
Academic Enrichment and Support – Providing resources, tutoring, and strategies to help students excel.
Wellness through JAHM – Promoting a balanced lifestyle through physical activity, mindfulness, and mental health initiatives.
Together, these services create a strong foundation for success—both in the classroom and beyond.
Small classes. Personalized guidance. Holistic growth.
Jacqueline Angus Healthy Minds and Well-Being Programme (JAHM)
Helping juniors thrive academically and emotionally. Starting high school can feel overwhelming. JAHM equips students with:
Teachers act as facilitators and mentors, guiding each student according to her individual strengths and challenges. Students gain confidence, build skills, and take ownership of their learning.
Academic Enrichment and Support
Tailored support for every learner.
Students explore their learning styles while receiving support where needed. Our program includes:
Instructional Support – One-on-one or small group guidance in specific subjects to strengthen skills and confidence.
Environmental Accommodations – Classroom adjustments such as seating, technology, or structured routines.
Assessment Accommodations – Testing modifications, including extra time, alternative formats, or clarified instructions.
Personalized Learning Plans – Collaborative plans with staff to set goals and track progress, empowering students to own their learning.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Education, I began my career as a resource teacher, supporting students in remedial English Language Arts, Math, and English as a Second Language. I later completed a Master of Education in General Educational Psychology, which further deepened my understanding of how students learn and the importance of building strong, supportive relationships. I am passionate about making personal connections with students and strive to be someone they can turn to when they need extra support. I enjoy thinking creatively and finding out of the box approaches to make learning engaging and accessible for every learner. Collaboration is also very important to me, and I value working closely with teachers, students, and families to support success. Most recently, I completed Associate Level training in Orton Gillingham, a structured and multisensory approach to teaching literacy. Outside of school, I love baking, especially sourdough, and spending time on adventures with my sons.
I began my career as a classroom teacher after completing my B.Ed as a generalist with a math specialization, and later went on to complete my Master’s in Inclusive Education at McGill. My interest in student support grew from working both in inclusive classrooms and one-on-one with students navigating unique challenges. I live for those “aha” moments, whether it’s helping a student find a strategy that works, seeing a concept finally click, or supporting teachers with resources that make a real difference. I love puzzles of all kinds, both in my work where I’m challenged to think differently and take creative approaches, through educational research with the CoLab, and in my free time where I enjoy board games, reading, and jigsaw puzzles. I see myself as a lifelong learner, and I value how much I get to keep learning and relearning through the relationships I build with the wonderful students and faculty around me.
