Learning outside the classroom

At Trafalgar, we believe that students should have a wide range of opportunities to experience throughout their high school experience.

Leadership Through Clubs & Activities

At Trafalgar School for Girls, we believe leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about mindset, action, and integrity. Every student is encouraged to step into leadership roles in ways that reflect our Core4 Values: Be Open. Be Curious. Be Collaborative. Be Compassionate.
What makes Trafalgar’s approach stand out? Collaboration is at the heart of everything. We don’t just develop individual leaders — we build strong, supportive teams where students learn to listen, lead with empathy, and work toward common goals. We give students real responsibility, real voice, and real opportunities to shape the culture of our school — and beyond. Whether organizing events, leading assemblies, or driving change in their communities, our students grow into confident, thoughtful leaders who understand that leadership is about lifting each other up, not standing alone at the top.

At the heart of this is our dynamic House System — a beloved Trafalgar tradition that brings students across all grades together to build community, ignite school spirit, and create the unforgettable annual House Plays. Through this process, students learn to be collaborative as they brainstorm, rehearse, and perform — learning the power of teamwork, creativity, and shared success.
Beyond the House System, every club and activity is student-led, guided by Faculty Advisors who act as mentors and sounding boards. These real-world leadership opportunities allow students to be curious, try new things, and develop skills in communication, organization, and decision-making — all while staying grounded in compassion and collaboration. Whether they’re leading a climate action group, mentoring younger students, or organizing school-wide initiatives, Trafalgar students learn that leadership is rooted in being open to different perspectives, being curious about new possibilities, working collaboratively toward shared goals, and leading with compassion and integrity.

At Trafalgar, leadership is not just something you do — it's who you become.

Arts

At Traf, the Arts aren't just a subject — they're a vibrant, living part of our school culture. We believe every student has a unique voice, and through our dynamic and inclusive Arts program, we give that voice the space — and the spotlight — to shine.  Whether it's on stage, behind the scenes, or through brushstrokes on a canvas, Trafalgar girls are empowered to explore, create, and express. From solo explorations to collaborative masterpieces, the Arts at Trafalgar encourage bold expression and creative risk-taking in a safe, supportive environment. And the creativity doesn’t stop at curtain call — our hallways and stairwells double as living galleries, bursting with original student artwork that transforms the everyday into something extraordinary. Every corner of our school celebrates artistic vision and reminds us that art belongs to everyone. We invite you to tour our gallery spaces and experience firsthand the creativity, energy, and artistic excellence that make Trafalgar’s Arts program truly one-of-a-kind.

ClubsFest

At the start of the school year, Trafalgar hosts ClubsFest, a lively showcase where all our clubs and activities set up tables in the gym. Students can walk around, explore what’s on offer, chat with club leaders, and sign up for the activities that excite them.

It’s a fun, hands-on way to jump into school life, meet new friends, and find the clubs that are the perfect fit for their passions.
And that’s not all — we even have a Ski/Snowboard Club! Students can hit the slopes on organized trips, whether they’re carving turns for the first time or enjoying the thrill of the mountain with friends. It’s a fun way to get active, try something new, and make winter memories together.

From curtain calls to conference halls, from paintbrushes to powder snow — Trafalgar clubs are where the magic happens. So jump in, get involved, and make your Traf experience unforgettable.
