Each member of the Sec. V Art class created a mural design based on the artworks they had created over the year. At least one element from everyone's painting needed to be represented. The designs were critiqued as a class, revisions were made, and then students voted for their favourite:
Congratulations to Elle Hyszko, whose beautiful wheat-paste mural was installed in the cafeteria on the last day of classes, so that returning students and staff can enjoy it next year.
We will recognize Orange Shirt Day on the 29th instead of the 30th. Students are invited to wear an orange shirt to recognize and raise awareness about the residential school system in Canada, join together in the spirit of reconciliation, and honour the experiences of Indigenous Peoples.
